SIX YEARS ON: Remembering Barack Obama

Remember Barack Obama? He’s the slick style icon who was greeted with thousands of waving flags when he accepted the Democrat nomination for president at Mile High Stadium in Denver in 2008. Standing between two Styrofoam Greek columns, the momentous speech Obama delivered that night was so moving Oprah Winfrey cried her false eyelashes off.

With that historic election came fervent hopes of topped-off gas tanks, paid mortgages, shallower oceans, a healed planet, and other all-around Messiah-like achievements.

Unfortunately, it’s now six years later and currently the country’s reaction to the man who promised America everything can be likened to that of a poor schlep finally meeting the 250 lb. woman who portrayed herself online as the woman of his dreams.

In other words, the stocking has been pulled off the camera lens and the reality of the guy who promised heaven but delivered hell is not pretty.

The president is so unpopular right now that Democrats who believed he was the one who would usher in the progressive paradise they’ve waited decades to realize recoil in horror at the mere mention of his name. Even the notorious East Room fly that was the president’s constant companion in the early days of his presidency wouldn’t be caught dead on Obama’s left nostril.

In the political sense, Americans did exactly what Jesus warned against in Matthew 7:24. By electing Obama not once, but twice, our nation “built our house on sand rather than rock.” Then, just as Jesus cautioned, when the “rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against our house…it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

After the fact, as America sits in what seems like irreparable ruin, we have only ourselves to blame for being intrigued with the superficial and duped by an imposter.

Our nation was enamored with an illusion; captivated by false charm; fascinated with empty rhetoric; and besotted by a fabricated edifice whose steady crumbling in recent days has revealed the depth of the deception that has been successfully inflicted on the naïve.

With each passing day, Barack Obama’s policy decisions have delivered progressively worse consequences. In every imaginable way, Mr. Hope and Change has purposely and systematically chiseled away at America’s foundation, “fundamentally transforming” the greatest nation in the history of the world into a weak, pathetic shadow of what it once was.

Barack Obama has decimated our economy and demolished our healthcare system. Daily, the president puts his approbation on the unfettered slaughter of 3,000-4,000 pre- and post-born babies, disrespects and abandons our veterans, and morally and physically hamstrings the military.

America’s enemies have been emboldened because our president has been friendly to our foes while antagonizing our allies, all while arming drug cartels and giving armaments to Islamic terrorists.

This president has undercut our Constitution, threatened our freedoms, and offended, spied on, and abused American citizens for their political beliefs.

Sadly, thanks to Barack Obama, even our nation’s delicate political and racial divide has expanded.

A classic elitist, Obama misused and overspent our money, ran up our national debt, allowed our nation to be invaded by dangerous intruders, ignored the infection and subsequent deaths of our children from imported foreign illnesses, and invited into our midst both terrorists and a virus with the potential to kill 70% of our population.

While feigning Christianity, Obama has mocked the faith of our forefathers, celebrated Islam, and apologized for America the world over while allowing Border Agents, ICE Agents, American ambassadors, journalists and other innocent Americans to be beheaded, shot, tortured and killed by Muslim militants and violent illegals.

All this and more has gone on while our fancy-free president fundraised, vacationed, golfed, partied with Beyoncé and Paul McCartney, and brainstormed on border security with Latina actress Eva Longoria.

Regrettably for America, this is what happens when a nation picks a president based solely on skin color while disregarding the need for content of character. As a result, we’re stuck with a narcissistic duffer whose consistent refusal to act in this nation’s best interests stands as the most significant achievement of his presidency.
