YIKES: Video of Woman Sleeping Will Make Parents Think Twice About Sleeping With Their Baby

Wow. This is scary stuff. Watching how much this woman moves while she sleeps will make you think twice about sleeping in the same bed as your baby.

According to the police officer in the video, every year, over 50% of infant deaths are due to unsafe sleep environments.

Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) is the leading cause of death in babies aged 1 month to 1 year, and is usually due to suffocation. The majority of these cases happen in babies 2-4 months old.

However, since the launch of the ‘Back to Sleep’ campaign geared towards raising awareness about proper sleep habits for babies, SUID rates have decreased dramatically.

Other tips to keep babies safe while sleeping:

-Make sure that everyone who cares for your baby is aware and understands the importance of placing baby on his or her back to sleep.
