New York City policemen turned their backs on Mayor Bill de Blasio yet again.

This time, it was at the funeral of Officer Wenjian Liu — one of two officers murdered last month by a man seeking “revenge” for the controversial deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. NYPD members in attendance turned away from de Blasio as he gave his eulogy.

This comes in the wake of a letter issued by Police Commissioner Bill Bratton in response to officers turning their backs on de Blasio at slain officer Rafael Ramos’ funeral. Bratton urged his officers to refrain from public displays of their “grievances.” In the letter, Bratton expressed understanding for the frustrations of New York city policemen, but emphasized that “A hero’s funeral is about grieving, not grievance.”
