It appears that another loose cannon is rolling across the deck of the world’s stage.

In 2014, Russian subs and fighter planes were spotted near the East Coast of the United States and Canada.

Russia has been accused of inciting and supporting the separatists in the Ukraine during the unrest that began there last year as well.

Iran is trying to go nuclear, and repeatedly has threatened the United States and Israel.
ISIS is a well-documented threat to anyone and everyone with whom it comes in contact. It is most especially dangerous to Christians, and those who oppose their evil in any way.

Kim Jong- un makes weekly threats at the United States and seeks opportunity to bomb our shores and / or our allies. His country recently practiced industrial espionage on the film industry by hacking Sony Pictures in response to their motion picture, The Interview, exposing personal information of employees and others connected with the company.

A weak, petulant United States president is a liability to the United States, but it is a bigger threat to the world stage and the security of the people in all countries.

Like it or not, the United States has functioned as the world’s police force ever since the boys went Over There during the First World War. It is noted that the prosperity and economy of the United States often dictates the ups and downs of the world’s economy as well.

Woodrow Wilson, for better or not, sponsored the League of Nations after the First World War which morphed into the United Nations. He was hopeful the organization and diplomacy would trump war and bloodshed for future generations.

FDR brought us through the Great Depression and led the fight in WWII.

Harry Truman named the land that was granted in the Balfour Treaty after WWII as Israel.

Ike had the Interstate System that is still in use today built. He ushered in a time of peace and unprecedented prosperity that the world followed.

JFK had seeds of greatness that were extinguished by an assassin before they could be brought to fruition.

Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War and brought down the Berlin Wall.

Clinton was willing to work with both parties to achieve necessary goals.

George W. Bush made sure that the aggressors that participated in 9/11 were pursued and his leadership kept the United States safe during his terms.

There are those of ambition who would love to exploit our lack of leadership.

It is unfortunate that the vacuum that has developed on Pennsylvania Avenue could pull the rest of the world into it.

Without the strong, shining light that is America and the United States, there is no refuge for those who yearn to live free.
