I rarely watch the Glenn Beck TV show since it left FoxNews. However, tonight, for some reason, I watched his program on The Blaze TV Network.
Frankly, it was shocking! It was disgusting! It broadcast the incredible persecution of Ethiopian Christian men, all in a line by the shore, being simultaneously beheaded. This was followed by a similar lineup of Ethiopian Christian men being simultaneously shot in the back of the head. These atrocities, committed by radical Muslims, were for the offense of being Christian.
Frankly, this was perhaps the most shocking thing I’ve seen in my lifetime. It was horrible! I’m still upset!
Glenn followed the showing by asking why doesn’t America care about this persecution of Middle Eastern Christians? Why is the most powerful nation in the history of the world looking the other way? What is wrong with American leadership – with European leadership? Is this a repeat of the Jewish Holocaust or the Armenian genocide – of a negligent world looking the other way?
While America is fretting about gays and wedding cakes – organized atrocities are being committed against Christians in the full view of TV cameras. In addition, Christian churches, shrines, and cemeteries are being systematically desecrated – again, in the full view of video recorders. And America and Western Europe are responding like spineless cowards. Our president even publicly compared these Muslim atrocities to the Christian Crusades in their effort to free the Holy Land from Islamic control, a thousand years ago.
If there is any greater example of American failed leadership, I saw it tonight. Our president, the administration, the American military, the American media, and our allies should be ashamed of their cowardice – for allowing this public barbarianism to go on unabated – before our very eyes. What has happened to our once great country?
God must help us . . . but we must always do our part – to secure and promote the truth and a better way – to protect freedom of religion and world peace – and to defend Judeo-Christian principles and values.
