OBAMA’S RIGHT ON CLIMATE CHANGE! Whew! That’s a Relief

I for one am glad Barack Obama identified climate change as a national security concern. All this time we’d been told that global instability was caused by racism, white man’s greed fueling a world in need, capitalism, consumerism, Christianism, sexism, homophobia, Rush Limbaugh, colonialism, did I mention racism, etc. Climate change is to blame? Great. Glad that’s settled.

How convenient a black President comes up with this. I won’t hold my breath waiting for the charge of “racism” to be shrieked at climate change “deniers”.

How convenient virtually every solution for climate change serves to distance our economy from the marketplace and move it towards state-run fiscal mismanagement.

That climate change solutions often come hand in glove with social changes that run contrary to our Judeo-Christian roots is pretty convenient.

It’s pretty convenient too that Rush Limbaugh is a climate change “denier”.

Maybe what we need then is a law making it illegal to change the climate. Laws always make a difference, don’t they? Murder was made illegal. Same for arson. Looting. Hate crimes. Terrorism. Rape, assault, theft, all of it illegal. How’s that working out?

Or maybe what we need is recognition that global instability is a complex problem rooted in radical Islamic ideology. Addressing that is far more difficult than pontificating about undefined things such as climate change.

Obama, which is more convenient for you?
