PRINCIPLED MEMBERS OF CONGRESS: Punished for Representing Their Constituents?

A person is elected to Congress by his or her district to represent their concerns in Washington. This elected official is supposed to stay in touch with his or her home base of citizens and vote their interests as matters are presented. A representative is sent from every district because all the citizens cannot go and vote for the issues.

If a Congressman or Congresswoman fulfills the intent of their constituents, why are they being punished by the powers that be within the Congress?

It appears that certain members of Congress have been demoted from their positions on certain committees and chastised for voting in the best interests of their constituency, not by the opposite party leader, but by leaders of their own party.

How is it that the new Republican Party can snatch defeat from the jaws of their majority victory, then turn and rend their own fellows? More importantly, why is it?

It must be a new Republican Party.

The party of Reagan and Gingrich and those who preceded them would work with the Democrats for progress, were truly conservative and did not throw the ones on their own team under the bus in order to kiss the behind of special interest groups and the other side of the aisle.

This is not the first time that same-side vindictiveness has reared its ugly head.

Those freshmen and senior Congress members who voted against John Boehner in the last internal election for the House Leader were stripped shortly after the results were tallied of key positions as well.

Those who did vote against Boehner were instructed by their constituents that they were no longer happy with Boehner as speaker due to his pandering to the current administration.

The people are tired of Boehner and his cronies, they wanted change.

The flavor change in the House and the Senate clearly showed the people’s wishes. Why is Boehner still in charge and why are he and his yes’um minions continuing to punish those who are truly doing their job and listening to those who elected them?

The Tenth Amendment gives voters the right to recall a malfunctioning elected official.

We the People need to take advantage of our rights and recall this rogue speaker and those who serve him.

Time is of the essence in this situation. The Republican Party needs a good house cleaning!
Boehner, et al, are dysfunctional, and no longer listening to anyone’s wishes but their own.

Call or write your Representative and make yourself heard today!
