SARGODHA: Two suspected terrorists died Saturday morning when an improvised explosive device (IED) in their possession exploded near the busy Khayyam Chowk area of the city.
According to eyewitnesses, the men – later identified as Ghulam Rasul and Muhammad Sultan – were sitting on benches placed in a street close to the roundabout and were busy in a discussion which later turned into an altercation, followed by actual blows.
It was during their scuffle that an explosion took place, killing them on the spot. Police said one of the victims was carrying an IED.
