PEARLAND, Texas – The Pearland Police Department has released dash cam video from a traffic stop involving a former Houston Oilers player.
The traffic stop occurred at 1:15 a.m. on September 1, 2015 in the parking lot of a gas station at the intersection of Shadow Creek Parkway and Almeda road.
In the video, the police officer is seen walking up to Lamar Lathon’s car and asking for his drivers license and proof of financial responsibility.
The officer asks Lathon, 48, several times not to reach under his seat as he takes his weapon out of its holster.
After asking Lathon several more times not to reach under his seat, he replaces his weapon back in its holster.
