The final and authoritative leader in Iran and fully half the Muslim world, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is back in business threatening both the West and Israel – and Barack Obama, with characteristic denial and cowardice, still believes he can cut a deal with him.
Khamenei is no stranger to menacing statements towards innocent people and Western leaders. After all, his routine calls for genocide and the extermination of the Jewish State have become so commonplace that the progressive left has long since abandoned the need to feign apologies for them.
In the past few months, however, Khamenei has slowly upped his ante, tweeting in July an image of a gun to Obama’s head, and, most recently, posting a YouTube video that predicts the downfall of the United States, when the US and Iran come to blows.
Obama’s response to both has been characteristic silence, a surprise to absolutely no one with any real knowledge of foreign policy or understanding of the President’s willful ignorance of the true nature of the Iranian regime.
Khamenei’s video leaves very little doubt about his intentions. Each threatening image and animation clip is surpassed only by the next, from Iranian soldiers attacking a US vessel to a final shot of dead US soldiers. Perhaps even more noteworthy is an image of missiles being supplied to Hezbollah, the terrorist organization that has successfully hunted and murdered Israeli troops and civilians since the Lebanese Civil War in ’82.

It’s difficult to see just how progressives can continually claim that Iran is not a supplier of world terror when Iran’s supreme leader is making social media posts about it. One might hope that this video would change their minds, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
The Iran Deal itself is still progressing undisturbed, no matter what evidence or warning signs (you know, like death threats from the person we’re making a treaty with) appear against it. Apparently, Obama’s administration won’t believe Khamenei is dangerous until after the bombs start exploding in Israel or the US.
