The New York Times reported two Americans were taken hostage and tortured by Zulu tribesmen in South Africa.
The report said the men were two of five sailors who managed to survive a shipwreck. The other 53 crewmen perished.
While making their trek through the South African countryside to seek help, the beleaguered sailors were set upon by Zulu ruffians. They were stripped naked, tied to trees, beaten and tortured. Three of the sailors died while the Zulus slashed their bodies. The other two survived only because armed Boer hunters heard their screams and rushed to the rescue.
Of the survivors, one was American identified by The Times as W.A. Kennan. The other was an Englishman identified only as Adams.
Kennan, the report said, went insane after the ordeal.
If you missed the story, don’t blame liberal media bias. The incident occurred 125 years ago.
However, before we assign such savage atrocities to a bygone era, we should consider that farming in South Africa is currently considered by some to be among the most dangerous occupations on earth, second only in high mortality rates to Formula One racing.
On last week’s edition of my weekly radio show, DailyKenn.com News Hour, I interviewed Afrikaans activist Henri le Riche. You may watch the interview on YouTube by clicking here.
• Among those recently murdered is Janse van Rensburg.
The victim was 75 years old when two black thugs broke into his farm house. The elderly man died after the attacker brutally beat in his skull. His remains were discovered in the bathroom by a farm worker. Rensburg’s safe had been cut open. Cash and a firearm were missing.
• Lettie and Hendrik van Loggerenberg were beaten with iron pipes during an attempted break-in at their home in May.
Mrs. Hendrik van Loggerenberg died of her injuries this summer.
News reports say the three black assailants waited outside the couple’s farm house for their return. When Mr. van Loggerenberg, 77, offered to help the men, they attacked him with iron pipes.
Mrs. van Loggerenberg, 87, was then dragged from her wheel chair and beaten. When the attackers saw Mr. van Loggerenberg press an emergency button on his key chain, they fled. The couple was attacked at their small farm in Zeerust, South Africa.
• Doulina Slabbert was showering when the four black males broke into her farm house in Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal earlier this year.
The woman was bound and taken to a bed while burning plastic was dripped on her stomach. The torture was intended to force her husband, Armand, to open the family’s safe.
After being bound, Armand managed to free himself and confronted the thieves who then fled before they were able to steal the vehicles.
The bandits made off with guns, money, and keys to the Slabbert’s two vehicles.
The couple survived the attack.
• Two small children, aged 5 and 3, watched in horror as their mom was brutally murdered by black thugs on their South African family farm.
The children watched as Vanessa Stafleu, 34, was shot in the back of the head execution style as she was forced to kneel before her black killers. The traumatized children ran into the night.
The five-year-old boy courageously took his tiny sister as he walked two kilometers towards his grandmother’s farmstead.
The father, William Stafleu, later reported that his wife suffered a black eye indicating she was assaulted prior to the murder. There was nothing stolen, suggesting the murder was a racial hate crime. Stafleu was working at a nearby dairy farm when the intruders murdered his wife. Another farmer, Koos van Rooyen, was murdered in the area thirteen months earlier.
• Toon and Rienie Swanepoel were tortured for hours before being shot dead by savages.
Both were in their seventies.
The crime occurred at the couple’s farm near Bainsvlei, Bloemfontein in South Africa this summer.
Reports say 71-year-old Toon was shot in the leg to prevent him from fighting as three savages took turns raping his 70-year-old wife, Rienie. The couple were bound to their bed where Mr. Swanepoel was forced to watch his wife being raped.
Thousands of white farmers and family members have been murdered by black intruders in recent years. The homicidal epidemic is hidden from view by a calloused and cowardly biased media.
You may see a list of the homicide victims here ►
Not all white victims of brutal black killers in South Africa are farmers.
• Warrant Officer Steven Britz was executed by robbers who stormed the police station in Klapmuts, South Africa.
Reports say the 44-year-old Britz was alone at the station when five black males stormed in.
Britz was forced to the floor. When he attempted to protect his head from blows by intruders, two shots were fired to the back of his skull. One of the bullets penetrated his hand.
