At least that’s what one influential progressive talking head thinks. I know the evidence looks like it was an Islamic terror attack, but it wasn’t. Complacent liberals killed those people. Meet Karl Frisch. I’m sorry, but you have to. I don’t even want to write about him, but I must. Karl’s recent piece for the Huffington Puffington Post titled Guns Don’t Kill People, Complacent Liberals Do caught my eye. It was floating amongst a sea of articles written by liberals following the narrative by demanding that guns be banned as the root cause of all evil. In case you live under a rock, a Muslim Bonnie and Clyde duo, aka…Syed and Tashfeen, recently lived out their lone-wolf-lovers-jihad-dreams and killed 14 innocent people who were attempting to attend a company Christmas party. ISIS is so proud.
Side note: Does Islam promise Tashfeen that she gets to enjoy 70 virgins in heaven? Or is she bound and gagged in a Hijab while Syed gets to rock-n-roll on his well-deserved pedophilic fantasies? Where is feminism when you need it, if not in Muslim heaven?
Back to my new friend Karl. He found a whole new way to promote all the liberal progressive talking points, but while he did it, he lit the ant hill on fire and stood back to watch. In one paragraph alone he mocked President Obama, Congressional Democrats, Conservatives, Congressional Republicans, Mental Health issues, the NRA, Ted Nugent, Fox News, faux racism, and finally Christianity. He goes on in the next paragraph to insult Fred Roff, President of Colt Firearms, for coining the phrase, Guns Don’t Kill People, People Kill people, calling it the Granddaddy of all gun-nut spin!
Wow. Just wow. Yes, he insulted all those groups all in a half a page, he should win the Piers Morgan award for idiotic things to say. Yes, that is a thing or it should be.
Karl’s been around the block. He doesn’t bite on tired old propaganda. Oh no, he seized the day and took it upon himself to call for gun control, but in a unique way, by attacking his own. Clearly, Karl would love to live in a utopia where there is no violence or guns. A place where people don’t get brainwashed and radicalized into committing atrocities. Sadly, that place will never exist on earth. Violence and evil is one of the only things guaranteed in our world and no amount of wishing or legislating will take that away. Karl and his liberal financiers have created a group called Allied Progress. Karl is the Executive Director of the “grass roots” group stating on their web site that “Potential targets” of Allied Progress smear campaigns would be “major financial institutions, and other corporations, leaders of industry, lobbyists, public officials, trade groups, advocacy organizations and more.” So basically if you are successful or accomplish anything in life, look out, because Karl and his goons may target you or your business for destruction.
One of Karl and Allied Progress’ campaigns is against the booming online and payday lending industry. They are leading the charge to smear this necessary and growing financial sector. The hypocrisy is staggering as Karl and his group sells out for the Big Banks in the name of crushing the upstart companies filling a need in the most American way possible…with commerce. I thought Allied Progress was for the average American and against big corporations and lobbyists? I guess opportunism pays the bills better than idealism.
Hypocrisy may not even be the correct term. Words like disingenuous or nefarious may be closer to the work that Allied Progress and Karl inflicts on the world. With this latest piece, Karl has taken the opportunity afforded by the San Bernardino slaughter to try to whip the liberal base into action. He lays into his fellow liberals placing blame for the gun problem on their lack of commitment to get out the vote. His title rips liberals as complacent and places the blood of terrorism on their hands. I wonder how his liberal friends like that. As a conservative, Second-Amendment-loving, gun nut, I’m used to being called unseemly names. However, most progressives enjoy the moral high ground on the gun issue with a self-righteous indignation. Being shamed by Karl might increase the turnout for Bernie or Hillary if being called complacent is just too much for liberals to bear. Or perhaps Karl was just quietly un-friended by a bunch of middle-of-the-road Democrats who secretly like the idea of defending themselves rather than dying like sheep.
Whether it’s attacking a growing industry like the alternative and payday lending sector or ripping the Second Amendment, to Karl Frisch and Allied Progress nothing is off limits and his version of the truth is available to the highest bidder.
