Trey Gowdy recently endorsed Marco Rubio, and as you can expect, Donald Trump had to weigh in on it.
Trey Gowdy has been dropping hints over the past week about who would receive his endorsement for President in 2016, and on the day after Christmas, his campaign finally made it official.
As initially reported by Townhall, the conservative watchdog and one-time favorite for Speaker of the House is throwing his support behind Marco Rubio.
Speaking on Fox & Friends, Donald Trump called out Trey Gowdy for endorsing Rubio and he didn’t hold back:
“I hope he does a lot better for Marco than he did for the Benghazi hearings. Because they were not good. That was not a pretty picture.”
But he didn’t stop there, he also took this to Twitter:
