What should have been a routine traffic stop for one sheriff’s deputy in Florida quickly became dangerous when the driver punched him in the face before firing a number of gunshots.
Indian River County Sheriff’s Deputy Christopher Lester pulled over Andrew Coffee, 52, Thursday night for not having a tag on his moped, NBC reported.
Dash camera video from Lester’s patrol car recorded the potentially deadly incident.
It begins with the deputy requesting that Coffee place his hand on the hoof of the patrol car.
