IT’S CLEAR: The Republican Establishment Doesn’t Want to Listen to the People
What has the RNC establishment’s panties in a wad when it comes to The People’s possible choice for a Republican presidential candidate?
It looks like the “namby pamby, play with the Democrat’s to be in with the cool crowd” bunch are sweating bullets over someone who can speak plainly and has no fear of the Politically Correct Conduct Police.
According to Holland Redfield, a RNC member who represents the Virgin Islands, the current candidates for the Republican nomination are likened to petulant children who should be vigorously spanked because of their comments and or opinions.
He claims that members of the RNC are almost terrorized by their own party’s rhetoric and insistence on adhering to party doctrine. He agrees with being cohesive within the group, but he frowns on those who think for themselves or have no need to beat around the bush.
He goes on to say, “The disrespect in many cases for ethnic minorities in the United States, but also for religion factions in the United States. We have to draw the line. Because sooner or later someone has to pick up the pieces.”
Disrespect for individual differences is one thing, but assimilating oneself into American society is quite another. One can’t leave the intolerable situation of their own country, and then try to turn their asylum into the same type of place.
Teddy Roosevelt summed it up nicely.
In the first place, we should insist that the immigrant that comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace or origin. But this is predicated upon him becoming an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here….
The fact that someone who is running for the highest office of the land has said what many average people are thinking, and they had the confidence to say it out loud, it is a crime suitable for the PC police to indict.
It is unnecessary to apologize for everything. There is no need to take offense so easily.
The serious problem is that the Republican Party has a very real DISCONNECTION with the people who vote.
There is very clear evidence that the RNC is expecting a contested national convention, yet the point, as usual, is being missed.
The heart of the matter, which seems to be going over the heads of any and all elected officials, as well as party hierarchy, is that The People are supposedly in charge of who will or will not get the candidacy for president, as they VOTE in a free election on whom they would like to see in the position.
The People’s duly elected official or platform should NEVER be questioned.
SCOTUS should never be called in to “interpret” the vote. The RNC, DNC and / or the Electoral College should have to adhere strictly to the result of the popular vote!
This type of worried committee member rhetoric is part of the problem, and no one has presented a solution.
If the RNC is so worried about the possible outcome of the primary election, if they are being bullied by their peers to conform to some PC ideology, then these are the things that are the real problem.
Perhaps, if they would go into the street, talk and actually listen to people, they might be able to reconcile themselves with what is on the voter’s mind, and not be disturbed by popular opinion going against some suit’s idea of what is right and what is wrong.
