Why Does The Left Oppose A Woman’s Right To Buy a Firearm?

A recent poll showed that women make up over a third of new gun owners. This is from the National Sports Shooting Foundation, and corroborates data from other gun groups.

Women who go to the range and shoot have increased almost 40%, and the NRA data shows a 77 percent jump from 2004 until 2011 in women who own firearms.

The Daily Beast asked the question: why are all these women buying guns?

The “Million Mom March” founder dodged the question, using the opportunity to attack pro-gun groups with claims that females were targeted for harassment when they step forward as gun control advocates. (maybe if they had guns they wouldn’t be harassed, just kidding!)

The article goes on to quote a woman named Colette, who is a gun-owing gun control advocate. She says that although she agrees women are buying more guns, her friends aren’t.

The story never answers the question. But all sides seem to agree: more woman are gun owners.

So when Hillary Clinton takes to New Hampshire to call for more gun control, who is she attacking?

Is it pointed out that the Democrat party spends the majority of their public relations time attacking women?

Is it ever mentioned that the will of women is being threatened by Democrats?

For the party of “pro-choice” to be so aggressively anti-choice, especially on an issue that is overwhelmingly becoming a female issue, is it still possible that Democrats can claim the high road on women’s rights?

So it is now that I call on us as conservatives to take to Twitter, take to Facebook, and ask the advocates of woman’s rights: Is it sexist to be for gun control?

Especially for a man.

Martin O’Malley, Chuck Schumer, and now that sexist pig Carmelo Anthony from the New York Knicks: why do they want to take rights away from women?

Anyone serious about being pro-choice and pro-woman has to respect that it is a woman’s right to choose to arm herself and for that right to be taken away is a gender issue, and probably protected in the web of federal protections.

Flooding the discrimination courts with women who feel discriminated against by Democrat men surely would make a statement much louder than any million mom march.

The time is now friends. Republicans must be the party of gender equality on gun issues.
