A Muslim mother in Egypt woke up one night to her screaming toddler being brutally raped by the child’s grandfather. While most mothers would attack her child’s rapist or at least call for help, this Muslim mother had other concerns.
In an effort to avoid a “scandal” in their community and preserve the family’s honor, the mother decided there was only one thing to do — kill the child.
The mother, Merfat, shared a house with her 59-year-old father, Faraj. She woke up that night, hearing her daughter’s cries coming from Faraj’s room where she found him violently raping 2-year-old Grace, according to Emirates 24|7.
