Donald Trump went after Hillary’s looks while on the campaign trail and you can probably guess how the crowd responded. You’re going to LOVE this…
Donald Trump introduced Hillary Clinton’s physical appearance into his presidential campaign for the first time on Monday, asking a rally audience in suburban Philadelphia if she looks ‘presidential.’
The move indicates that Trump is looking past the July Republican National Convention to a general election campaign – and that there will be no holds barred if he faces the former secretary of state.
‘Do I look like a president? How handsome am I, right? How handsome?’ a preening Trump asked nearly 5,000 supporters during a rally at West Chester University. ‘Somebody said, “He really does look good, but you know, I don’t know if he’s presidential”.’
‘And I’m looking at this stage of people – my competitors,’ he pivoted, landing squarely on Clinton.
‘Does Hillary look presidential?’ he asked. ‘No!’ came the audience’s response.
‘Was she there at 3 o’clock in the morning to answer the call?’ he asked, referring to a famous Clinton ad from her failed 2008 Democratic primary bid against then-Senator Barack Obama.
Another ‘No!’ rang out, shaking basketball bleachers and an uneven rank of U.S. and Pennsylvania flags.
‘No, no, and she won’t be. She won’t be. She won’t be there,’ Trump insisted. ‘She doesn’t have the strength and she doesn’t have the energy to be president, I will tell you.’
Clinton is the presumptive Democratic nominee but faces an FBI investigation over classified documents that were once housed on a private email server she controlled while she was America’s top diplomat.
Trump said Monday that ‘I really want to run against Hillary,’ scoffing at the idea of matching wits with Sen. Bernie Sanders – Clinton’s sole surviving opponent – whom he dismissed as a ‘communist.’
