Paul Ryan is really going to regret his decision to deny Trump an endorsement after seeing this. Do you agree with these petitioners? Or do you think Paul Ryan should be able to deny this endorsement?
When asked last week by CNN’s Jake Tapper if he would endorse the party’s presumptive nominee, Ryan was noncommittal, saying: “I’m just not ready to do that at this point. I’m not there right now.”
The Wisconsin lawmaker’s stunning answer resulted in a backlash from Trump supporters and an online petition has now been launched to have Ryan removed as the chairperson of the Republican presidential nominating convention in July.
Posted Saturday on iPetition, the petition now has over 5,000 signatures and growing… it reads:
Since Paul Ryan has reneged on his pledge to support the GOP Nominee (Donald Trump,) he should be removed as the chairperson of the Republican National Convention, in which delegates of the United States Republican Party will choose the party’s nominees for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States in the 2016 national election will be held July 18–21, 2016.
