When a Liberal wants a shortcut to winning the argument, without having to do the work, they play emotional cards. One of their favorites is “do it for the children”.
You’ve seen it before: we need to get rid of guns “for the children”. We need Obamacare… “for the children”. We need to tolerate illegal border-jumpers “for the children.”
Another favorite is the War on women.
Taken together, you’d think this issue would be #1 on their radar. But it isn’t. Because “Islamophobia”.
Fear of that label keeps the usual Social Justice Warriors out of this fight. Either that, or they can’t use it to damage a political enemy (read: Conservative, Christian or Entrepreneur), so it isn’t worth their effort.

In February, Breitbart London reported that dozens of child brides had arrived in Norway, with the youngest being just 11-years of age. The phenomenon has also caused concern in the Netherlands, prompted by the disappearance of the nine-month pregnant 14-year-old girl Fatema Alkasem and her 24-year-old husband.
You can try to wave all these away as outliers. But we already know that girls are caught and sold as sex slaves in a number of Islamic countries, and this was widely practiced under ISIS, and Boko Haram, etc.
We see Turkey making moves to change the age of sexual consent to TWELVE.
And, of course, Mohammed himself… married a six year old girl. (She was his Favorite!)
But relax! It’s ok. He waited until she was nine before they “did the deed”.
