BREAKING: Several People Shot, Bomb Squad Deployed, Houston Strip Mall

Panic in Houston as 6 people are injured in early morning shooting attack near a strip mall. The gunman hid behind trees and shot at cars.

UPDATE from ABC 13 Houston:
HOUSTON (KTRK) — Panicked eyewitnesses ducked for cover as a gun-wielding man opened fire at a strip center in southwest Houston, injuring several people before he was shot and killed by police.

A bomb squad has been deployed in Houston to the scene where several people appeared to have been shot early Monday.

Initial reports say the shooter struck several people near Weslayan at Bissonnet in southwest Houston, ABC13 reported.

One official with the Houston Fire Department says ambulances have transported at least six people to local hospitals, KHOU reported…

…It is unclear how many people were shot. One report has claimed there were ‘bodies on the ground’ at the scene, according ABC13.

Police consider the scene active and have deployed a bomb squad after a suspicious vehicle was reported near the scene, according to the station.
