Our current mainstream media reminds me of the actions of one Joseph Goebbels, Adolph Hitler’s propaganda minister. This comparison is quite accurate because if you look at what our esteemed fourth estate is producing, it’s obvious. They do not report everything. So many important stories are “left out” because they interfered with the ideology of the reporter or the outlet they represent. Also, if it makes the current administration look bad, it is not reported, as well.
Then we have the twisting and inaccurate reporting of information. The journalists of years past must be twirling in their graves because in their day there was objectivity and honor in the field of journalism. Today that is gone and many who write for the newspapers or appear on TV are merely puppets of the liberal owners of the various media outlets.
Fortunately, for these so-called news people, there are a preponderance of apathetic and ignorant Americans who question nothing the mainstream media puts out. This is perfect for the current bunch of unethical, shameful excuses for journalists. They do not deserve that title and are, in fact, lackeys without honor. The mainstream media has done nothing to elevate America and everything to assist in its decline. They have become buddy-buddy with the most extreme leftists of the Democrat party, and have forgotten, or don’t care, what’s written in the Constitution. How sad that US citizens cannot trust the mainstream media to report the news truthfully and honestly. If it weren’t for some of the conservative media, we would never really know about many events that have taken place.
During this pre-election period the mainstream media has demonstrated some of the most outrageous behavior I have ever seen. They have demonized Donald Trump, made up false stories about him, and failed to report events accurately. They have glorified Hillary Clinton, one of the most corrupt, nasty politicians to run for the office of President of the United States. Her history of doing absolutely nothing for the American people, while amassing great wealth through her “Foundation” and a variety of other crooked deals, are ignored by the media.
Why have a fourth estate if, as a citizen, you cannot get fair, objective, unbiased information? Who gave the press the mandate to decide who should be President of the United States? That is reserved for we, the people. Every American should be appalled by the absurd activities of the mainstream media and reject their intervention into an area that is reserved for the citizenry. It is indeed unfortunate that evil people, like Hillary Clinton, George Soros through his money, and many in the current administration are promoting this affront to our freedoms. They try to do away with our First Amendment rights because if anyone disagrees with their progressive, globalist, socialist, ideology they are trashed.
This is not how a free society is supposed to function. To quote Benjamin Franklin, “whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech.” This is exactly what the liberal mainstream media is trying to do.
Americans need to get their heads out of the sand and wake up. We must never forget that an informed public is a free public.
