Behold: Glenn Beck, the intellectual kite.
A dozen or more years ago, Glenn Beck didn’t take himself too seriously. He joked about his cardboard microphone. Played a call in game called ‘Jep-Retard-y’, had a much hyped ‘live abortion’ on his show (they played a broadcast of Air America).
He called himself a rodeo clown.
Since then, he’s become a ‘just’ clown. One of the creepy ones.
He believes himself the conscience of the nation.
He became a Tea Party activist, a key member of that group. He took strong pro-Israel stands. Then he became an activist in the GOP primaries… backing Ted Cruz with a literally religious zeal.
When Trump won the primaries, Beck disappeared from the public spotlight. Apparently to do some thinking. Here’s what that ‘thinking’ led to… he has abandoned the deeply-held ‘Conservative’ principles claimed he held to.
Conservative radio talk show host Glenn Beck had nothing but praise for the Obamas in a recent interview with The New Yorker, saying the president was not the bogeyman he made him out to be all these years.
“I did a lot of freaking out about Barack Obama,” Mr. Beck said.
But, he added: “Obama made me a better man.”
Mr. Beck said he regretted painting Mr. Obama as a racist and actually now considers himself a Black Lives Matter supporter.
“There are things unique to the African-American experience that I cannot relate to,” he said. “I had to listen to them.”
As for Donald Trump, Mr. Beck said the Republican presidential nominee is “dangerously unhinged” and unfit for the presidency.
…Mr. Beck heaped praise on Michelle Obama for her recent speech at a Hillary Clinton rally in New Hampshire. The first lady lambasted Mr. Trump for his lewd comments about women, saying, “It doesn’t matter what party you belong to — Democrat, Republican, independent — no woman deserves to be treated this way.”
…Brilliant speech.”… “That was a moment that transcended all political thought,” he added.

Did Beck go on a ‘spirit quest’ after getting his ass handed to him the Primaries? Tried the Peoyote, did he? How else does Michelle translate into a religious experience?
Ironically, it was Glen Beck who called out the pseudo-Messianic Cult of Obama back in ’08.
And now? He’s joined in.
Dude Obama doesn’t care about the Rule of Law… But he’s (sigh) so dreamy. And Team Obama / Hillary is the only alternative to the guy he staked his entire reputation on opposing.
How many of his OTHER views will change? At this rate? Probably a lot of them.
He’s got all the stability of a weathervane. Maybe the next time we see him, it will be in a Hamas march decrying Israeli atrocities.
