From NFL stars to NBA coaches, NO ONE is safe from Jason Whitlock’s scathing video essay.
Watch the smackdown:
— Speak For Yourself (@SFY) November 15, 2016
First up, Mike Evans, Wide Receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (With a dig at non-voting Colin Kaepernick as a bonus.) Whitlock blasts Evans for protesting Trump’s victory by sitting during the anthem on Sunday, and suggests that maybe Evans will care enough to actually vote in 2020. He then dismisses Evans as a 23-year old kid.
Next up, NBA coaches Stan Van Gundy, Gregg Popovich and Steve Kerr for denouncing Trump and his supporters. Whitlock says they sound like ‘hypocrites’ not ‘thoughtful intellectuals’. Coaches don’t whine about the opposing team, they ask about what they and their organization did wrong so they can correct those mistakes.
Whitlock finishes with a blast to the ‘Establishment Elites’ who ignored the working class and ‘fan the flames’ of racial division.
