As usual, I had something else I wanted to write about for this installment, but someone I wanted to interview didn’t come through in time so I started wondering if maybe I should actually stay clear of any heavy political rants, given the fact it’s Christmas. But, this is a political site (uh…duh…) and it’s hard not to speak one’s mind.
But…it’s Christmas. So, what to do?
It came to me that we, as a nation, have been granted one heck of a gift right before we celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. That gift is the God-given window of opportunity we have to fix this nation now that we have a President Elect Trump and not a President Elect Clinton. We are being given a chance for actual change because God heard the prayer of concerned Americans. (I personally believe millions of Americans were praying…)
The scriptural principle here goes all the way back to 2nd Chronicles 7:14:
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
These are the words of the Lord God Himself to King Solomon. Extremely still applicable today, isn’t it? Granted, we still have a lot of work to do when it comes to the part about turning from our wicked ways and being humble…but we have been heard and given the opportunity. That’s a gift. And right before the Electoral College vote tally, I know people were still praying and we were still heard.
However, this is not the entirety of the gift. The real hidden surprise has been the liberal derangement, freak-out, mental implosion, or whatever you wish to call it, that’s becoming so entertaining to watch.
I mean, really, let me count the ways in which the libs are trying to understand how Clinton lost.
*It’s FBI Director Comey’s fault
*WikiLeaks (in general)
*Julian Assange (personally)
*The Abedin/Weiner computer problem
*The Press (D) in general
*Fox News (in particular)
*Vladimir Putin (personally)
*Russian computer hacking intervention (in general)
*The Deplorable (that’s most of us…)
*The failed recount (in general)
*Jill Stein (personally)
…and that darned ole Electoral College, which nobody really understands, and is completely outdated and totally unfair.
I know I’ve probably missed some good ones, but you get the idea. It’s REALLY NOT CLINTON’S FAULT! Liberals are grasping at every conceivable straw to try and explain how a supposed slam-dunk election could be lost. That’s the surprise portion of the gift. Conservatives have always known how anti-American liberals really are, but now we’re getting daily examples of what they truly believe, how they truly behave, and how utterly detached from reality most of them have become.
Let’s not try and change them. Let them have their tantrums. They are the reason a political outsider such as Donald J. Trump is now President Elect Trump. We deplorables have been sick and tired of their arrogance and anti-Americanism for the last eight years. (Actually, longer than that, but let’s focus on the current election cycle…) Now we’re ready to take America back.
Remember what this season means. While we go to our families, our parties, and our church services, let’s not forget the gift of Jesus Christ…and the gift of God hearing our nation’s prayers. And the wonderful gift of deranged liberals.
