A Russian man took two arrows — crossbow bolts, actually — in the chest. And lived to tell the tale.
Is he super lucky?
Considering they were self-inflicted, it’s a little harder to judge whether he would think so.
What we CAN say is that anyone who can take a crossbow to the heart… RELOAD IT… Fire a SECOND bolt into his heart … and LIVE is either crazy tough, or divinely protected.
It’s not for the squeamish, but there’s a photo of the guy stretched out on the gurney.

Doctors at Federal Almazov North-West Medical Research Center performed an incredible procedure, putting the man on a heart-lung machine while they removed his heart, both arrows and then sewed it back up using his own heart tissue. The doctors said the man’s condition is “stable but serious.”
Maybe this guy should watch ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ while he is in recovery. He might identify with the storyline a little.
