Some people talk a good game. Other people get things done. Obama’s ‘legacy’ will soon vanish like a fart in a tornado.
Obama’s big idea was ‘shovel-ready projects’, remember? He poured big government dollars into such wise investments as Solyndra. You remember Solyndra, don’t you? Where Obama spent half a billion taxpayer dollars to create 1,100 jobs for the brief window of time before his darling green corp went belly-up?
Let’s contrast that (and his smug Carrier response) against today’s news.
US technology giant IBM has said it will hire 25,000 people in the United States over the next four years, ahead of a meeting between President-elect Donald Trump and tech industry leaders.
About 6,000 of those appointments will be made in 2017, IBM chief executive Ginni Rometty wrote in opinion article published in USA Today.
IBM, which in recent years has restructured its activities, will invest $1billion on employee training and development in the next four years, said the IBM president, chairman and CEO.
Let’s see… 25k Tech sector jobs for Big Blue. Do you think THOSE will vanish as quickly as they appeared? Shall we contrast the stability of these IBM jobs to, say, Solyndra?
Where’s that smug laugh now, Obama? This guy hasn’t even taken office yet. The mere PROMISE of his PLATFORM has the stock markets and businesses breathing a sigh of relief.
You have been a national embarrassment, and have been an obstacle to an American economy that — left to its own devices — is robust and adaptive.
