‘SPOOKY’: CIA Retread Crawls Out Of Woodwork … What’s His AGENDA?

By Captain Dave Funk

I was involved at the policy making level in airline and airport security for over twenty-five years. One of the early lessons was to always be cautious when dealing with the “Spooks”. Funny that twice in recent memory, the same former CIA “character” has emerged at the center of efforts to “take out” Republican Presidents. What’s also interesting is that I crossed paths more than a few times while I was at Northwest Airlines with one of the central characters involved in both attempts while doing that policy work.

I’m speaking about Larry Johnson, who not only has been a Fox News Contributor, but also can be seen regularly on CNN and the other networks. Clash Daily readers might remember Mr. Johnsons former CIA classmate, Valerie Plame, you know her, the CIA agent and wife of former Ambassador Joe Wilson who Scooter Libby was charged and convicted over after she was allegedly reveled to be a former covert agent, even thought the Special Prosecutor knew all along it was Robert Novak that did it and trumped up charges against Mr. Libby. Call it whatever you want, but the entire false intelligence over pre-Iraq war weapons of mass destruction claims made by Ambassador Wilson was an obvious attempt by he, and his cohorts Johnson, and Wilson’s wife, Valerie Plame to get then-President Bush impeached.

Interesting that right before the Chairman of the House Intelligence Oversight committee, Congressman Nunes, announced he had discovered hard evidence about President Trump and his transition staff’s having electronic data collection efforts made against them by the previous administration, Mr. Johnson goes on CNN and states that he may have been the source of Judge Andrew Napolitano’s claims about this entire affair. To quote Susan Wright at RedState.com:

He [Johnson] additionally says Napolitano – much like what happens with the internet – got it wrong. Johnson said two sources told him that the British intelligence agency GHCQ had been passing information through back channels about the intelligence community’s meddling in U.S. politics, even before Thursday’s press briefing. That was when Spicer cited allegations Napolitano made — apparently fueled partially by Johnson — earlier in the week on Fox News that the GHCQ had spied on Trump.

“Now, I had known about the fact that the British through GHCQ were passing information back-channel. This was not done at the direction of Barack Obama. Let’s be clear about that. It was being done with the full knowledge of people like John Brennan and Jim Clapper,” Johnson said Sunday.

From 41,000 feet, it looks to me like Mr. Johnson is in the middle of another impeachment attempt, and this time, he’s trying to do what good CIA Agents do best: Re-directing attention from the real culprit, but this time, it’s away from Ex-President Obama. Larry Johnson’s just doing it in advance of the operation this time.
