Dear Media: CNN ‘Journalists’ Quit After Lying About Trump Russia Collusion – Is That ‘News?’
They’ve worked so hard to DRIVE the news instead of reporting it. Now they’ve BECOME the news, and they’re in full damage control because of it.
CNN went too far chasing the Russia Story and they got burned. Badly.
Even BUZZFEED outed them for their backpedaling and damage control. ClashDaily reported on that ‘People will be disciplined‘ story here.
A story was retracted. People will be ‘disciplined’.
Wonder of wonders, by the merest coincidence, only days later, THREE CNN employees have now ‘resigned’.
In the wake of their resignation, Donald Trump Jr is calling for CNN’s president Jeff Zucker to publicly explain, saying the story is ‘the biggest fake news scandal in the network’s history’.
Thomas Frank, Eric Lichtblau and Lex Haris were all involved in CNN’s new investigative unit and left the company Monday.
Frank wrote the deleted story, Lichtblau was an editor in the unit and Haris oversaw the unit.
‘In the aftermath of the retraction of a story published on CNN.com, CNN has accepted the resignations of the employees involved in the story’s publication,’ a spokesperson said. —Read More
We all remember how they all salivated over the various scandals at Fox, and made them into big news. How important was this news that left even CNN yanking the whole story, in contradiction to standard journalistic practice that even BUZZFEED called them out on?
If you have a microscope, you might be able to see it on their page, way down near the bottom:
Because a story touching on CNN’s integrity is less relevant than the cover of Vanity, or a sports betting case.
Is that an admission that they HAVE no integrity to preserve?
Considering the CEO himself is in the hot seat with the newest Veritas videos (and that it’s their usual practice to release more than one, each more damning than the last) you’d think he might take this problem more seriously.
Smart money would rip the band-aid off, own up to it, and pledge to do better. But we’re not holding our breath here at ClashDaily.
Meanwhile, CNN should start thinking up a new slogan.
