Actress Draws Islam’s Wrath By Blasting Their Morning Rituals – Do You Agree With Her?

You can’t really blame her for being upset about this…

This Indian actress is being mocked for her comments that the 4:45am call to prayer over a loudspeaker is ‘not civilized’.

This has been an ongoing issue in India, and another celebrity has taken heat for his stance against the broadcasting of the azaan early in the morning.

A day after singer-actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi labelled azaan on loudspeakers as ‘not civilised’, the Samajwadi Party mocked the former saying her sleep is more important than the call to prayers.

“Such irresponsible comments have been made in the past also. I am unable to understand what kind of people they are. I would like to know how does azaan, which otherwise purifies you on hearing, bother her. May be her sleep is more important,” SP leader Juhi Singh told ANI, on Monday.

Just so you understand what she’s railing against, here’s a call to prayer in Delhi over loudspeakers.

Because everything sounds better over a loudspeaker, amirite?

And remember that Hinduism is the most prevalent religion in India. Around 84 percent of the population claims to be Hindu.

So, this is a minority religion doing this.

Krishnamoorthi refutes the claim that she’s being religiously insensitive.

She says she wakes up on her own to pray and doesn’t need a loudspeaker reminder.

And she’s getting support from Muslims, too.

What do you think?

Krishnamoorthi is upset about loud noise early in the morning.

Is that really so wrong?

She says that religion is something that should be internally motivated, not externally.

Is she right or ridiculous?

Let us know what you think in the comments.
