Hey Patriots: Pope’s Advisors Called Trump Supporters ‘Fundamentalist Radicals’

These guys are actually giving counsel to the Pope. Is that not a problem?

Trump went to the Vatican, to meet him, and the expression on the Pope’s face looked like he had just been baptized in vinegar.

Canada’s Prime Minister — who forbids Pro-life members of his party from running for public office, and who recently legalized Euthanasia, went to the Pope demanding an apology?

And he was well-received. Of course he was. He’s an environmentalist, globalist Idealogue. Why wouldn’t he be well-received?

But Trump? He’s a radical fundamentalist. No wait, he’s a ‘Fundamentalist Radical’.

Oh these Leftists love to have their fun with words, don’t they?

Trump has been lumped in with ‘Ultra-Conservative’ (previously known as ‘traditional’) Evangelical Christians. And they are a Bad Thing.

Here’s a quick explanation of what was said and why it matters: (emphasis added)

Father Antonio Spadaro, S.J. is Editor-in-Chief of La Civiltà Cattolica, considered the official voice of the Vatican and whose contents are reviewed and approved by the Vatican Secretary of State before publication. Spadaro is also one of Pope Francis’ closest associates and an influential advisor. In an article titled “Evangelical Fundamentalism and Catholic Integralism in the USA: A Surprising Ecumenism,” published in the current issue of the journal, Spadaro goes on the attack against American conservatives, Evangelicals and President Trump, and laments “Catholic integralists” who allegedly insert politics into their work of saving souls.

…Michael Voris, founder of Church Militant, responded. “The hypocrisy of Fr. Spadaro is shocking,” Voris says. “He accuses Church Militant of using theology to advance a political agenda — which isn’t true — while he spends every waking hour using the Vatican and the Church to publicly advance a left-wing agenda.”

…”Spadaro conjures up a curious mélange of American factoids — apparently the result of a desperate Google search — and patches them together to condemn American Catholics, Evangelicals, and other believers as the personification of evil itself — when in fact they actually recognize sin,” Manion remarked.
“Spadaro notices that these faithful Christians believe that Satan is at war with the Church, hungry to devour as many souls as possible,” Manion continues. “How violent! Spadaro dismisses this ‘combative’ pose with the same insouciant wave of the limp wrist that he dismisses the reality of sin itself.” –Read More

You can read a well-written Pro-American critique of the Vatican’s article here.

So Trump — who has been a STRONG voice for Pro-life issues (which apparently aren’t the big deal to the current administration of the Vatican as they had been in recent years) and is actively in support of Religious Liberty — which, unlike the last guy in office, would include the right of Nuns not to be compelled to pay for birth control — is evil.

But the Democrats who actually BOOED the mention of God in their 2012 Convention, who have elevated Abortion to the status of Sacrament, and who — policy-wise — are literally Zero-For-Ten in the Ten Commandments are somehow the better option?

What is going on over there? Is this a question of bad advisors putting a poltical agenda first, or does the problem go higher?

Remember when the Church was supposed to be about ‘salt and light’?

Do you remember a guy named ‘Peter’? He didn’t say life was about social programs, or environmentalism. He said something quite different. It was pretty militant, and was not remotely Politically Correct.

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Ironically, he gave this speech to Religious leaders who were too busy doing their own thing to even recognize Jesus at work in their midst.

With all the bridge-building you guys are doing with other faiths Religions, have you even ONCE been so bold in speaking of the singularity of faith in Christ as Peter was?

You are critical of people who you think are ‘too’ salty, but failing to ask yourselves whether you have lost your ‘saltiness’. Jesus had something to say about that. You might want to look it up.

If you’re looking at our crappy culture and think we need to give it a course-correction, listen to this:

The Pope’s advisors? They’ve got further to go. They should start with this:
