I guess those ‘Don’t Rape Touch Me’ wristbands didn’t work out after all.
Maybe because the message was written in Swedish.
Perhaps a different language would have worked better.
Swedish comedian Emma Knyckare is organising a “man-free” music festival in her home country in response to rape and sexual assault claims at festivals.
She suggested the idea after reports of a number of sexual offences at Sweden’s biggest music festival Bravalla, which has now been cancelled for next year.
“What do you think about putting together a really cool festival where only non-men are welcome?” she tweeted.
She said it would take place “until all men have learned how to behave”.

Besides, didn’t we do this like, 20 years ago with Sarah McLachlan’s ‘Lilith Fair’?
Well, okay, it’s not so much that men were banned, but heterosexual men didn’t want to go.
Unless they were ‘forced to’.
Knyckare, who is also a radio host, denied that banning men from her festival was unfair.
She told Sweden’s Aftonbladet: “Since it seems to be OK to discriminate against women all the time, maybe it’s OK to shut out men for three days? I would not exactly call it an abuse not to come to the festival.”
This is the Authoritarian Left in action.
Ban all men because of a spate of rapes that coincide with the influx of rape-y refugees flooding Sweden.
Question: Does the ban include the performers?
Because last year’s Bravalla headliners were Mumford & Sons. (If you couldn’t tell from the name, they’re not a female act.)
And they were pretty horrified with the numerous sexual assaults that occurred.
Mumford and Sons, who headlined last year’s event, said afterwards that they would not perform there again until safety had been guaranteed for female concert-goers.

What about a pre-op ‘transgender woman’?
Or a post-op ‘transgender man’?
Or a non-binary, gender non-conforming unicorn mermaid?
The new progressive normal makes this a sticky issue, doesn’t it?
Feminists, you’re going to have to choose.
Either you want special treatment because of your lady bits, or ‘gender is a social construct’. You can’t have it both ways.
Oh, and by the way…
You can’t discriminate against men then claim you’re all about equality.
Because that’s not what ‘equality’ means.
