Watch: Liberal Road Blockers Meet Cold Crunching Steel Bumpers

When a protester decides to block a road and a truck is heading your way, there are two choices: move or be moved.

They chose Door Number 2.

The activists here didn’t think that this guy, after being taunted and threatened would actually drive through their scraggly line of protesters.

And then they posted the video online to trumpet their victim status.

It didn’t go as they expected, though.

Watch: (LANGUAGE WARNING)

FYI, this protest was against the name ‘Columbus Day’. These protesters want it to be renamed for something less offensive like, ‘Indigenous People’s Day’.

Of course, hardly anyone mentions the vicious fighting between tribes and that some of the indigenous people wiped out tribes of other indigenous people.

But that doesn’t matter.

Let’s focus on why exactly it is that we celebrate the achievements of the ‘white’ guy that set out on a journey to the other side of the Earth without knowing what was ahead of him. Because that’s not bravery, adventure, curiosity, or anything worth celebrating.

So, instead of lauding the man that led wooden ships in a cross-Atlantic journey leading to the discovery of a ‘New World’, let’s celebrate the groups that still lived quite primitively and didn’t yet have the wheel.

There’s the logic that we’re dealing with.

Though this video was posted as an outrage that the driver would dare to drive through their little protest, the response online has been in favor of the driver.

One commenter wrote:

I stopped feeling bad as soon as I heard ‘I’ll rip you out of that truck, you little f***’ At that point, threats are made against the driver and he did what he had to do to get out of a potentially harmful situation. Don’t protest in the middle of the street, and then threaten people in vehicles wanting to get through. No sympathy for any of these dumb people in the road.

Another mentioned that there were more protesters than the driver and his passenger:

They trapped and threatened to assault the driver, and when he protected himself they cried victim and ran to the very system they were complaining about for help.

Threats are relevant, right?

Well, the moment you started to threaten him you all lost all credibility. The only crime he committed was not running over more of you douche bags.

One pointed out that the actions of the protesters was illegal:

Look. If you’re stopped by an illegal crowd of criminals who are acting in a threatening manner and are making illegal commands to you like “drive around”, these are all threatening actions. They can try to claim they didn’t threaten him but we all know their actions and words they are using are a threat. Everyone knows this.

And this person said that the video title should be renamed:

Needs to be renamed – Protesters illegally blocking street threaten driver’s life. Driver escapes.

If you’re ever in the same situation as these protesters, first, get out of the way — you’re illegally blocking the road.

Second, get this:
