Clash Poll: Paul Ryan’s Trashing Trump Again — But Is He Even Doing His OWN Job?

Since January, the House and Senate were given a Majority to work with — but their leaders seem more interested in sniping at the President.

What’s with all the energy spent taking digs at the President and his policies? At least the Executive Branch is doing the things we sent it there to do!

For seven years we’ve been told about how the Democrat control of the political levers of power was THE big problem in Washington.

But now that those levers are firmly in the hands of Republicans, what are they doing with them, besides getting their lunch eaten again and again by Democrats united in their hatred of Trump?

And instead of putting together a winning strategy to bypass MINORITY Democrat obstructionism, where are our leaders expending their energy?

Distancing themselves from and denouncing Trump.

House Speaker Paul Ryan on Saturday criticized President Donald Trump for pardoning a former Arizona sheriff, Joe Arpaio, becoming the highest-ranking Republican to object to the move.

“The speaker does not agree with the decision,” said Ryan spokesman Doug Andres. “Law-enforcement officials have a special responsibility to respect the rights of everyone in the United States. We should not allow anyone to believe that responsibility is diminished by this pardon.” — WSJ

The pardon has been issued, and can’t be reversed.

What is the point of denouncing it after the fact?

Like so many other things done by the Republicans in the House and Senate (with certain exceptions), there is more emphasis on Ornamental behaviour than there are in actual meaningful accomplishments.

Aside from emboldening everyone on the Left to become even MORE obstructionist, what is this supposed to accomplish?

There is a division of powers. There are things the House and Senate can — and SHOULD — be doing.

How much longer must we wait to hear news about the things they have accomplished instead of what they have merely said in a sound bite?
