The ‘Death Wish’ Remake, Starring Bruce Willis, Will Give Liberals A Stroke

Is it the location, the theme or the star that will set them off? Probably all three.

The remake of the old Charles Bronson movie, ‘Death Wish’ is sparking outrage on the Left.

Chicago.

Guns.

Bruce Willis.

Yep, that’s enough to have liberals freaking out and/or fainting onto their chaise lounges.

GQ is already freaking out with the headline ‘It Is Really, Really Not The Right Time For This Remake Of Death Wish‘.

Here’s an excerpt from the tone-deaf leftist angle that I think makes the point that it’s really, really the right time for this remake of Death Wish:

In moving the setting to Chicago, a city where gun violence is both well-documented and highly politicized, and setting the trailer to “Back in Black”, the remake tips its hand: 2017’s Death Wish comes off as a work of cowardice and opportunism, piggybacking off hard-right fear-mongering and a government that’s completely and utterly disingenuous in its rhetoric about violent crime when nationwide, crime rates—despite rises in cities thanks to mass shootings like the Pulse massacre in Orlando—remain historically low. This stands in stark contrast to the state of violent crime in the U.S. during the ’70s, a decade that did see rising crime as well as some of the most notorious killers in the nation’s history.

The leftists are blind to the fact that their policies have not helped the people in areas that have rising crime rates.

Just look at Chicago on the weekend of July 4. The website Hey Jackass tallies the numbers of shootings and murders in the city — even showing on a map the most dangerous areas.

And you know leftists always freak out about the right to bear arms.

Here’s what Willis, someone who is ok to break out of the Hollywood Democrat mold and leans more right on some issues, had to say about gun ownership:

“Everyone has a right to bear arms,” Willis stated. “If you take guns away from legal gun owners, then the only people who have guns are the bad guys.”

Before you get all excited, Willis has said that he’s ‘apolitical’ and doesn’t like to be labeled a Republican. He says he hates government and just wants less of it. He does tilt towards the right on many issues, though.

I’m sick of answering this [expletive] question. I’m a Republican only as far as I want a smaller government, I want less government intrusion. I want them to stop [expletive] on my money and your money and tax dollars that we give 50 percent of . . . every year. I want them to be fiscally responsible and I want these [expletive] lobbyists out of Washington. Do that and I’ll say I’m a Republican.

You can see how all of that combined would give Liberals a stroke.
