MTV’s VMA’s Descends Into A ‘F*** Donald Trump’ Festival

For a group that prides itself on ‘diversity’ isn’t it amazing how they all think exactly alike?

Denouncing the President has become a ritualized form of political masturbation. Nothing is actually accomplished by doing it, but you do get to tell the world that you’re part of the club… and the praise they get for ‘resisting’ is as good as any drug for them.

What do you really expect from an awards show that introduced a new category ‘best fight against the system’. In true Social Justice form… all six entries won.

They had a direct descendant of Robert E Lee call for an end to racism, but he couched it in all the platitudes of the Left’s own language. So, naturally none in THAT audience was called to any introspection:

“We have made my ancestor an idol of white supremacy, racism and hate,” Lee said. “As a pastor it is my moral duty to speak out against racism, America’s original sin.”
He called on “all of us with privilege and power to answer God’s call to confront racism and white supremacy head-on.”

It doesn’t take a lot of moral courage to discuss the sins of a group ‘out there’ somewhere, does it?

It would be more impressive had he called those in the room not to look the other way when people in masks, armed with weapons and shields marching ‘in their name’ — supposedly under the banner of the very same cause they were there to celebrate — to beat the crap out of journalists covering a PRAYER meeting.

There were the predictable shows of support for a bottom-twenty quarterback whose name would already be fading had he not politicized himself by kneeling during the flag, and wearing that Che shirt. (Maybe he liked the fact that Che murdered gays?)

But of course, they had to bring Trump into it.

Apologies for the annoying commentary that went along with the annoying speech. The fact that every sentence is said like a question really isn’t helping any.

Here’s the text, if you’d rather not have to listen to it.

“You know, if we were all to put our voices together, do you know the difference we could make? If we were to stand up all united as one, our impact it would be ‘yuge.’ It would be ‘yuge.’ Believe me, ‘yuge.’ And that’s not fake news.

We must show these Nazi white supremacist jerks in Charlottesville and all over the country that, as a nation with liberty as our slogan, we have zero tolerance for their violence, their hatred, and their discrimination! We must resist!” — IJR

Meanwhile, in the real world…

Other people have put their petty grandstanding aside, and are trying to deal with the largest flood in US history.

But really, it’s helpful to see where their REAL priorities are.

For these social justice pretenders, it’s far more important to throw shade at the President than it is to support the victims of an actual natural disaster.

Maybe that’s why MTV is on its way to irrelevance.

The surreal state of the world wasn’t the only uncertain backdrop for this show: The VMAs and MTV are in an existential crisis as the network and cable-television itself flail for an audience in a cable-cutting world. – Variety

Share if these people are truly pathetic.
