I am not a fan of the United Nations and have not been for many years. It started out with noble goals, but unfortunately, has evolved into a bloated, corrupt, pro-Muslim, anti-Israel organization over the years. It has strayed so far from its original purpose that it is totally unrecognizable today. The time has come to get out of the UN and get the UN out of the USA. We pay 22% of their budget, which amounts to billions of dollars, and that money can certainly be used for Americans instead of supporting a bunch of progressive, globalist, dishonest, bureaucrats.
Recently, the UN’s Human Rights Council released a 20+ page report demanding that President Trump and the United States free all illegal aliens who are awaiting immigration hearings. They went on to say that the immediate release of all foreign nationals, even those who committed crimes, should occur. Our former President, Barack Obama, invited this group to investigate and create this report in October of 2016. If we followed the demands of the UN, all sorts of people, from all over the world would be free to go wherever they wish, and do whatever they want, in our country. This poses a threat to American citizens and our concerns must be the safety of Americans.
The United Nations has also issued a warning to the United States. This came from Anastasia Crickley, chairwoman of the UN committee of the elimination of racial discrimination (CERD). Regarding the violence in Charlottesville, VA on August 12th, this warning sounded much like the talking points of the Democrats, claiming that President Trump had not adequately disavowed white nationalists and neo-Nazis. This is totally untrue because the President denounced both sides. Unfortunately, the UN has gone so far left that it really needs to go out of business. A UN committee has also called for the United States to give up free speech to combat racism.
This committee has pushed a left-wing agenda for years. In 2008, they told the United States to stop using the death penalty, restore voting rights to felons, allow terrorists at Guantanamo Bay to legally challenge their detention, to protect undocumented workers in the workplace, and promote multi-culturalism. This committee has gone too far, and it is inconceivable that they had the audacity to tell us what to do. They think they have the right to tell us to violate the Constitutional rights of Americans. Their arrogance is outrageous, and their constant attempts to impose their ideologies and their agenda on the United States of America is unacceptable.
Last word: The United Nations has lost its credibility because it has put forth Communist ideology and has been infiltrated by liberal greedy globalists. These people regularly promote the agenda of the left, while ignoring the atrocities that are happening on a daily basis in many of their member nations. It is definitely time to say goodbye to this horrible organization which is doing more harm than good in this world.
