Is Trump Right – Does McConnell Need To McGet His Butt Back To Work?

CNN is loving the ‘fighting’ within the Republican Party.
Is it a big deal, or is this just a Board Member getting results out of a manager?

They got so used to having Obama’s pen and a phone in office that they forgot there’s this thing called ‘Separation of Powers’. Maybe if they know any ‘constitutional experts’ they can have someone bring them up to speed on what that means.

They’d be better off picking someone whose last name isn’t Obama, though, if they want the details to be factually accurate.

So President Trump has tweeted. And the Left looks at the bottom of their tea cup (organic tea from Fair Trade affiliated dealers, of course) and are reading their tea leaves to see what cryptic meaning they can infer from the latest tweets.

President Donald Trump resumed his public feud with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell Thursday over his party’s failure to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, a sign of the fraught relationship between two branches of government that are both controlled by Republicans.

“Mitch, get back to work and put Repeal & Replace, Tax Reform & Cuts and a great Infrastructure Bill on my desk for signing. You can do it!” Trump tweeted, his third tweet in two days calling out the Senate majority leader.
“Can you believe that Mitch McConnell, who has screamed Repeal & Replace for 7 years, couldn’t get it done. Must Repeal & Replace ObamaCare!” the President tweeted earlier.
Trump commented Thursday about his ongoing spat with McConnell, telling reporters that if McConnell can’t convince Republican senators to repeal and replace Obamacare, then it’s time to consider stepping aside. Asked whether McConnell should resign, Trump said to wait and see if he can get repeal and replace done. “Then ask me,” he said.

Let’s look at their dispassionate reporting. Key words: Public feud, fraught relationship. It goes on to add others, like ‘spat’ as well.

There is a ‘chaos’ narrative that the Media insists on maintaining. Of course they are. They would have to take that approach. Trump has a reputation as a competent and effective businessman. If they want to discredit him, neuter his ability in office, and set up the next two elections (2018 and 2018) to his detriment, they have to get busy now.

Is there another way to see this? Of course there is. He ‘could’ just be lighting a fire under McConnell’s ass.

Trump is very much a ‘results’ guy. The Republicans came in without a plan, let alone a strategy to put it together. The election was 10 months ago. Did it REALLY catch them by THIS badly by surprise?

They KNEW they wanted to be rid of Obamacare. They should have done all their horse-trading LONG before January 20, 2017.

They didn’t they got off to a slow start. The Democrats have been dogging them every step of the way. And they deal they THOUGHT was ‘a go’ fell apart when John ‘Benedict’ McCain knifed them in the back.

Way to trade in those ‘war hero chips’ to be just another Soros flunkie, John. History will NOT be kind to your legacy.

Trump respects results, and he respects a fighter.

The Democrats have decided that they won’t let the Republicans get away with ‘nibbling away of the edges’ of Obama’s legacy.

The Democrats already played the ‘nuclear’ option once. And it was fair because the 60 vote limit was artificial and had no connection to the Constitution.

So to hell with it. Don’t let the Senate Cloture rules neuter the Republican mandate.

Elections have consequences, or so we’ve been told by some guy named Barack.

If McConnell ‘goes nuclear’, he can actually go ahead and craft a REPUBLICAN piece of legislation, instead of trying to work within an Obamacare that didn’t — itself — even follow house rules.

If there are taxes, it has to originate in the House. If it originates in the Senate, it cannot have taxes. As it wound through the courts, it changed the rules halfway through to comply with other rules.

So why the hell are we letting ourselves be hamstrung by obscure Senate precedent?

Get it done!

Should McConnell finally say damn the torpedoes and let’s really get to work?
