Because, the Anthony Weiner story hadn’t gotten weird enough already, right?
When LAST we checked in with Anthony Weiner story, he had stepped in it yet again.
Let’s see… where were we?
He was busted for sexting again.
This time, with someone underage. Naturally, there was an investigation.
He and Huma Abedin (with whom he has since broken up) both had access to the same laptops, so HER laptops became evidence, too.
That became a National Issue, right in the last lap of the election campaign.
Huma Abedin had received a number of emails from Hillary Clinton, and there were questions about whether anything on that computer was of material interest to the Hillary email scandal.
So… besides 53-year-old Weiner being a thorn in Hillary’s side, and being one more excuse for ‘what happened’, he is once again in the news.
More accurately, the sixteen-year-old girl he was texting is back in the news as he awaits sentencing.
Her name is still hidden (even now, she’s only 16, after all) but she showed her face on national media because has something important to say.
She said last year that their relationship with consensual and begged her father not to press charges against him but took part in her sit-down interview … in the hope that it would stop him from sexting underage girls.
She was aware the previous sexting relationships which torpedoed his political career and but said she wanted to see if he would take the bait given Clinton’s presidential bid.
‘I knew that Hillary Clinton would be running for president in the year 2016 and I wanted to see if Anthony was still up to the same antics,’ she said in her Inside Edition interview.
After speaking briefly on Twitter, she and Weiner soon began exchanging text messages and his input quickly turned sexual.
‘I knew it was going downhill and really fast,’ she said.
For months afterwards, they exchanged sexually graphic text messages, spoke over several social media platforms and he sent her photographs of himself in various states of undress, sometimes posing with his son. –DailyMail
It was posing with his son that finally disgusted her enough to come forward.
Last year, her father said he had allowed her to share the story to prevent Weiner from contacting other girls.
‘If there’s anybody out there that has a similar story that they can come forward, maybe use my daughter’s example to have the courage to come forward,’ he said.
…[Weiner]also asked her to dress up as a schoolgirl in plaid skirts and described his ‘rape fantasies’.
‘It would just be him showing up at my house when my dad was out of town and just start undressing me, being forceful, asking me if I want to be dominated, strange questions,’ she said, describing them. — DailyMail
