Trump Calls For BOYCOTT Of Teams Who Protest Anthem – A Major Football ‘Star’ Just BLASTED Him

Trump fired a shot across the bow of the NFL and their anthem-protests…
And look who got his cup in a twist over it.

The President covered a lot of ground at his speech in Alabama.

Covering topics from Health Care, to Missile defense, to the Electoral College, to … the NFL?

Yes, he went there.

But there was one section of that speech that really caught the attention of both fans and players of the NFL. He weighed in on the protests… as only Trump could:

‘Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, “Get that son of a b***h off the field right now! He is fired. He’s fired!”‘
…’They are ruining the game, right?’ he asked. ‘They are ruining the game.’
Players on the field ‘want to hit,’ he complained.
‘But you know what’s hurting the game more than that?’ Trump asked. ‘When people like yourselves turn on television and you see those people taking the knee when they are playing our great National Anthem.’
‘The only thing you could do better is, if you see it – even if it’s one player – leave the stadium. I guarantee things will stop. Things will stop.’
‘Pick up and leave. Just pick up and leave.’ —DailyMail

The fans have had enough of these Anti-American displays — as you can tell from the ratings and the empty seats.

When Trump said get that SOB off the field? The crowd got amped. “U-S-A! U-S-A!”

But not all of the players liked the speech as much as Trump’s crowd did.

Wow. Somebody buy this guy a clue.

The same guy who thinks it’s perfectly fine to ‘exercise First Amendment rights’ while in uniform, on the field, thinks that the President needs to shut up. That he should not be spouting off. How ironic is that?

Yes, we just broke another meter.

But it’s not just him, either. Look who ELSE joined the party.

The head of the NFL Players Association, the union representing professional football players, said Saturday that the union “will never back down” from supporting players’ right to protest. –The Hill

These guys just don’t get it, do they?

This is the same league that tells players what kind of clothes they may or may not wear during their interviews during Superbowl week. If you are so damned ‘committed’ to ‘Free Speech’, let’s see what happens if a Player shows up wearing, say, Addidas Gear or Heineken swag, hmmm?

The National Football League is a multi-billion dollar company, and like most companies, the league enforces a strict uniform policy for its employees. In fact, nine pages of the NFL rule book are dedicated to what is appropriate for players to wear before, during, and after games. If a player is in violation of the rules, they may not be permitted to enter the game or be subject to fines, thereafter.

Prior to the start of the 2014 season, the NFL increased the fines associated with the league’s uniform and equipment policy, in hopes that the players would shy away from committing a violation. Fines that used to have a minimum penalty of $5,250 and a maximum of $15,000 can now carry a maximum payment of $100,000. —LandGrantHolyLand

When your PRIVATE expression is done on COMPANY TIME, the players are obligated to conduct themselves in a way that doesn’t hurt the business.

And if you think this hasn’t been hurting the business, you’ve not been paying attention.

The Player’s union can squack all they want. But if it turns out there is no sport for them to unionize, then they’ve just put EVERYONE out of a job.
