Ohio: The ACLU Strikes Again

Ohio- The ACLU Strikes AgainJackson City Schools in Jackson, Ohio, which holds facilities for K-12 education, was sued this past week by the ACLU. Additionally, the “Civil Liberties” gang brought along their best friends to the party, the Freedom From Religion Foundation. All of this because the Jackson Middle School had put up a portrait of Jesus, among many other pictures, in the “Hall Of Honor.” The portrait has been up in the school since 1947.

In the lawsuit, the hard-hearted, free-thinking atheists stated: “As a direct result of these unconstitutional actions, Plaintiffs and other likeminded citizens and residents have suffered, and will continue to suffer permanent, severe and irreparable harm and injury.”

The superintendent, Phil Howard, has already shown signs of contempt towards the atheist legal group and said that he will not simply take down the portrait just because “some group from Madison, Wisconsin, who knows nothing about the culture of our community or why the picture is even there, wants me to take it down.”

What do you think? Should the school be forced to take down the portrait that has been up for over half a century?
