I’m beginning to think Oprah Winfrey has more regard for the Scripture than Rob Bell does. Moreover, I would venture to say He is more pleased with Oprah’s stance because she has blatantly rejected Christianity before unlike Bell, who likes to have one foot in the world and the other barely in heaven. In an interview last summer at the Viper Room in West Hollywood, Calirfornia, Rob Bell reaffirms the gay community by saying they are “our brothers, and you’re our sisters, and we love you.” Which is not a terrible thing to say. However, he goes on to state that a gay friend from his teens was one of the most loving, generous, and “holy” people he’s ever encountered. Finally, he says gay people are “passionate disciples of Jesus just like I’m trying to be.”
