Achtung, Baby: Are People Being Encouraged to Rat On ‘Anti-Government’ Neighbors?

Screen Shot 2013-05-05 at 4.41.21 PMJust when you thought the crap couldn’t get any creepier in Obamaland,  BOOM, it does and things just got a little bit more … how shall I say it … peculiar. Can we still use the word “peculiar”? We can? Good. Cue Twilight Zone music, por favor, and allow me to proceed.

So, what am I talking about you ask?

Am I referring to the forced lesbian kissing class in a Red Hook, New York middle school? No, silly. That was like two weeks ago. Duh. That’s so yesterday. Or, as Jay Carney said of the Benghazi Massacre, “That was a long time ago.”

Am I hinting at Eric Holder’s inability to say, “Islam”, when he’s constantly asked about the religious persuasion of the particular people group which has been zealously trying to kill us since 9/11? No, everyone knows señor Holder has an ideological inability to pin the bigger-than-Dallas blame on the “Religion of Peace“. As Charles Krauthammer said, “a nine-year-old” can see that.

So, am I alluding to the outrageously offensive act perpetrated by California cops last week who yanked a 5 month-old-baby, at the behest of an offended quack, out of his parent’s custody, simply because the parents wanted a second opinion from a different doctor? No, I’m not, but that tale was some straight up, messed up, can’t scrape it off your boot BS, now wasn’t it? Pardon my redneck colloquialisms. All I have to say is those parents were way more chilled than I would have been. For sure.

Even though the aforementioned is truly bizarre (although it doesn’t eclipse the total media blackout of the ghastly Gosnell multiple murder trial of several born alive babies) there’s one story that made me look at my computer screen like a calf looking at a new gate.

The story that hit me sideways hails from my stomping grounds, south Florida. Check it out.

According to Fred Brownbill,

A new $1 million dollar program led by Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw aimed at “violence prevention” is encouraging Floridians to report their neighbors for making hateful comments about the government, a chilling reminder of how dissent is being characterized as an extremist threat.

Bradshaw plans to use the extra $1 million to launch “prevention intervention’“ units featuring specially trained deputies, mental health professionals and caseworkers. The teams will respond to citizen phone calls to a 24-hour hotline with a knock on the door and a referral to services, if needed reports the Palm Beach Post.

Bradshaw makes it clear that the kind of behavior which could prompt a visit from the authorities includes anti-government political statements that may be deemed a prelude to violent action.

The program will also include “public service announcements to encourage local citizens to report their neighbors,” reports the newspaper.

Wow. That doesn’t smack of Nazi Germany, now does it? I’m glad they don’t have something like that in Texas because the whole blessed state thinks our government sucks.
