Holding Politicians Accountable: Because Journalists Don’t Know How

383px-Town_Crier,_Provincetown,_MASince September 11, 2011, I have followed the Benghazi story because I was sure that there would be some sort of accounting for the fact that we lost four good men for no apparent reason.

Unfortunately, on September 12 I realized that this administration was, as usual, more interested in covering their own butts than accounting for our mistakes and learning from them. It shouldn’t have surprised me that the mainstream media would also ignore this story as if it was nothing more than a minor fender bender in front of City Hall.

Greg Gutfeld summed it up best by saying, “The media would not know a good story if they woke up next to it after they were drunk last night. For them Benghazi is like an ugly wallflower at the prom. They just want to dance with Obama all night.”

Now it is in that spirit that we are going to cover this issue of the shameful media presence in America today. It is the responsibility of each and every true American that reads this to spread the word and make sure that these hearing don’t get stuck on the back of the shelf to be forgotten and covered with dust.

The first thing that we must do is understand what was uncovered on Wednesday in the Benghazi hearing. Here is what I consider the two most important pieces of information that came out. If you are interested in reading more into the hearing, The Blaze is running a great article that includes some great information.

In my opinion the most important thing that came out yesterday was an email that Rep. Trey Gowdy introduced. This email was a communiqué from Beth Jones who, for the sake of time and space, is a big wig in Middle East affairs at State.

This email was sent to one of the whistleblowers and it stated that the State Department knew that the group responsible for the attacks was in fact Ansar al-Sharia. This email was time stamped 9/12/2011, just hours after the attacks while the Benghazi consulate was still smoldering. Then, just a few days later Susan Rice came out and said it was a protest that got out of hand because of a YouTube video. So obviously the administration knew it was Islamic extremists who carried out a targeted attack, not a spontaneous event.

The other piece of information is that our Special Forces groups were given a “stand down” order from someone high within the military apparatus. But why? This is the burning question that we may never know because the media refuses to tackle the story choosing instead to dance with Obama.

What we do know is that, according to the whistleblower Gregory Hicks, Lt Col. Gibson, who is a commander affiliated with Special Operations Command Africa was given an order to not go to Benghazi to get our people.

Doesn’t anyone care why someone in our military left four American’s to die at the hands of terrorists in a filthy city thousands of miles from their homes and families?

So now that we know the specifics that have come out, it is time for us to move on to the next stage, action. The American press has full scale ignored this story. They have made a practice of ignoring potentially damaging stories to the Obama Administration in order to shelter them from the damage of their own actions. If you would like proof, someone please tell me what is happening in the “fast and furious” investigation? The media no longer cares to report the truth to the American people and because of that it is now our job as concerned citizens to get the word out about what Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton did to those four brave Americans.
