Move over Reggie Love, there’s a new tall basketball player vying for the attention of Barack “Forward” Obama!
Or is it the other way around? You have to consider that, since it was Obama who called Jason Collins to congratulate him for his courage to “come out.” If only Obama had the same courage?!
If you think I’m sensationalizing, then ask yourself why gay WNBA player Brittney Griner didn’t get her phone call.
For a guy who says he’s interested in the economy, he sure spends a lot of time on GAY issues. I suggest we make the economy a gay man, and perhaps Obama will want to take the economy more seriously, or at the very least a “walk on the beach.”
I can only imagine the buzz in the gay community about this, since they KNOW what the deal is. When the most powerful man in the world decides to make the coming out of an athlete priority enough to make a phone call, then somethings up.
