To the Political Left and RINOs: No, I Won’t Be Silent

Last night, my brother wrote on my Facebook page that I should not make political posts on Facebook. While claiming to agree with me, he warned that people would “un-friend” me. I use Facebook as a forum to educate people about the tragic direction of our nation. I have many “friends” on Facebook that use it for the same purpose. We believe it is vitally important to do whatever we can to stop the destruction of our society.

That’s also why I write here at ClashDaily.com. I’m not doing it for the money (There isn’t any) nor am I concerned about my popularity. I once heard Rush Limbaugh question why people post intimate details of their private life on social media. He asserted that to do so is narcissistic. Perhaps he is right, as usual. I don’t post much fluffy personal stuff. I shouldn’t think that people would be interested in my personal life like I was some kind of celebrity. But, I think intelligent, responsible people should be interested when someone brings a news account to their attention alerting them to the fact that they are headed for trouble.

Having been rebuffed by my own brother in this way, it occurred to me what Ted Cruz and Mike Lee must be feeling at this point. These two patriots were simply attempting to rescue the nation from what is widely accepted to be a train wreck in the form of Obamacare. For doing this, they were demonized by Democrats and the media, including Fox News. We expected that. But what was most discouraging was that they were torpedoed by “leaders” in their own party. They were vilified and trashed by the McCain RINO faction of the party.

It reminded me of the incident in the movie, Planes, Trains and Automobiles where John Candy is driving the wrong way on the freeway. Some well meaning travelers attempt to warn them only to be mocked as being drunks. Cruz and the Tea Party folks are screaming, “You’re going the wrong way!” and the established political class from both parties and the media are laughing.

Not surprisingly, polls confirm that a majority of the country believes that we’re going the wrong way and that Obamacare should be repealed. What is surprising is that a majority seem to blame the Tea Party! News flash: the Tea Party is not legislating or administering any government policy! In fact, the Tea Party has not accomplished a single legislative agenda.

For some strange reason a majority of people do not blame Obama for the policies he is successfully advancing. An uninformed electorate is the only possible explanation for this anomaly. That is why it is important for every American who wants to preserve our nation to do all that they can to inform people.

As in the movie, the consequences of going the wrong way could be tragic for many and this tragedy is probably closer than many think. Deceived people do not recognize that they are deceived. Let’s put it in simplistic terms. Are you more financially secure than you were 5 years ago? Are you paying more for your health insurance? Are you paying more for food, clothing, gasoline and housing? Are more people working or are more people on food stamps, unemployment, SSI, AFDC, etc.? Are we more secure from terrorism? How has that whole “Arab Spring” thing worked out? Will you be able to keep your gun to defend yourself from gangs? Are we as free as we were? Remember, the NSA is watching everything you do and if you criticize this President he may harass you with the IRS. Are you burdened with increasing government regulation? Have your electric rates “necessarily skyrocketed” in spite of having windmills in your back yard. Are your children getting a better education? Do you decide what your children should learn or is that decided by a bureaucrat in Washington? We are going the wrong way and Ted Cruz and the Tea Party are not the ones in the driver’s seat.

But, in spite of the impending train wreck, the political establishment, the country club set, is telling the conservatives to just shut up. I call these people the surrender caucus. John McCain and Barrack Obama tell us that elections have consequences and we should just follow our orders. The true goal of these progressives is the silencing of political opposition and they have willing accomplices in the media. Even some of those who call themselves “conservatives” are telling us to be silent.

Those of us who are working to preserve our constitution and our liberties must understand that not all who call themselves “Republicans” or “Conservatives” are what I call 100% conservatives and may not have the same priorities. 100% conservatives stand for both conservative social and fiscal principles. These are the true Reaganites, the remnant of the winning coalition that he led and supported. True conservatives understand that culture drives policy, not the reverse. That is why progressives seek to destroy our cultural traditions. For example, sodomy marriage is not motivated by fairness. The goal of sodomy marriage is to silence the Christian message. Abortion is not about choice, it’s about destroying the life ethic.

A true conservative will always stand for principles. A pragmatist will always compromise principles. The Republican Party is being led by pragmatists. For them, the goal is power, regardless of how it is derived. They are now aligning with pragmatists in the business community to destroy the Tea Party. Wall St. bankers are working with Obama and McCain to keep the Tea Party quiet. But, I will not remain silent.

YOU’RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
