IGNORANT ‘KNOW-IT-ALLS’ CAN BE SO TEDIOUS: At Odds With Liberal Knowledge

Ronald Reagan said, “It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It is just that they know so many things that aren’t so.”

Truer words have never been spoken.

My creative writing group was recently infiltrated by a technical writer, who knew many, many things that weren’t so.

Primarily, as a technical writer specializing in construction trying to transition to another genre, it would be a good idea to sit back and observe since it was a first time visit.

Stories, books and poems are another animal altogether from a step by step manual of how to properly lay cinderblocks.

This would be a better first choice, visiting a group whose niche was different from your own.

However, a lack of facts and know-how has never held a liberal back from enlightening their fellows on right and wrong, how and how not, or truth or fiction.

I was told by said liberal that the quote from Matthew 12:30, “Whoever is not with me is against me,” was not said by Jesus Christ.

I wonder who else said such a thing. Why did Matthew tell it, if it was not said by Jesus? He was with Him at the time. Hmmmmm?

I got some snarling and ugly sneers about the movie American Sniper, which offended me.

Of course, as a Conservative, I have no right to be offended for anything that was said. I have First Amendment rights only if I am in consensus with the liberal sheeple.

I suppose we should have been flattered. Perhaps, it was the embodiment of Michael Moore who invaded our peaceful, creative space.

People in the arts often tend to lean toward liberalism, as evidenced in the recent rant by Patricia Arquette as she accepted her Oscar.

A genuine acceptance of an accolade from her peers would have served her better.

There have been studies that show that there is still a gap between men and women in the wage situation, but most people would prefer to be entertained during this Hollywood celebration of movies.

Political posturing can be better saved for a protest or a letter to an elected representative.

It is ironic as well that those in the limelight of film-making receive millions per performance. Most working people don’t generate that kind of income. This would make it impossible for the Hollywood Haves to understand how the average American work-a-day really lives.

If wage gaps are so abhorrent to these A-Listers, there are charitable and job creation organizations available for them to contribute to and invest their wealth.

Those of us who are very creative, yet realize that for every dance someone must pay the piper, have a harder time finding common ground with those who’s logical and physical heads float above the clouds.

A wise man who was my mentor once told me, “If you only listen to the sound of your own voice, you will never learn anything.”

This is a man with two professions whom I like to credit with much of my knowledge in my chosen field.

I don’t think it could be said any better!

Too bad so many sheeple can’t understand, it is better to have your facts in place before you open your mouth, not afterward, or never.

It is such a burden on the rest of us when someone knows it all.
