Scared People Will Call for Bigger Government – While Wise People Will Do THIS
No matter what politicians say, terrorists are trying to get into our country. One way is by using the system against itself. By obtaining a fake visa or getting in through the visa waiver program a terrorist might have a somewhat legal way to enter the US.
I personally don’t know why any terrorist with a brain would do this. Especially, when we have a perfectly good open border to our south. I mean seriously, get a bunch of bottled water, some hiking boots, a good hat, a backpack for your bomb making essentials and hike it across the Rio Grande. Boom. You’re in.
Why would anyone try to defeat the controls in place by the Department of Homeland Security? The systems were tough before and they’re only getting tougher with recent attacks.
Currently, 20 million people use the visa waiver program each year. The Visa Waiver program basically allows citizens of approved countries come to the US for 90 days without a visa for vacation or business.
Sounds pretty reasonable depending on what countries are approved right? Currently 38 countries are on the list. All the usual suspects: France, England, Iceland, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, etc…even Liechtenstein. Okay…I admit; I didn’t know that Liechtenstein was a real country. Sounds like it would be a good beer. And Andorra, too. The country of Andorra is A-Okay. I thought Andorra was a moon in Star Wars.
I was glad to see that even the Obama Administration had the good sense to remove a few more recently from our list of visa waiver buddy countries. For obvious reasons, we kicked out Syria, Iran, Iraq, and the Sudan from our little club. It’s not that people from those countries can’t come to the US, it’s just that they have to work for it.
It’s not an outright ban as some presidential candidates have called for, but it forces people with ties to those hot spot countries to endure our visa process. The visa process itself was recently strengthened as part of the ridiculously massive Omnibus bill.
So the visa program currently is tight enough to push most of our terrorist wannabes to the hike across the Mexican desert. Basically, the open border to Mexico is our biggest sovereign threat. The visa program is in pretty good shape, as long as bureaucrats enforce all the provisions in it.
Some have recently been calling to revamp the visa program or severely tighten down, when all it really needs is some time to work. Many of the newest safeguards were put in place less than three months ago. So before we all call for increasing the size and scope of our government even more, let’s give it some time to work.
The visa waiver program has not spawned a lot of terrorists, so let’s not make it harder for regular folks to travel, yet again diminishing our freedoms in the name of terrorism.
I personally would rather see the government require all able bodied adults to be armed for defensive purposes. Then let all the terrorists in. Bring it on, boys. Allahu Akbar and all that. I’m tired of being afraid of these bullies and woman haters.
It’s un-American to cover women up like that. It’s sick to toss gays off of the roof and stone chicks for leaving the house or cut off the head of some teenager listening to music. These people are barbaric. Let’s invite them over here and save ourselves the trouble of looking for them.
We’re infidels in their eyes. Let’s be easy to find. No need to bloat the government any more. We just need to lock and load….they’ve got 29 virgins or something like that waiting for them anyway. Let’s send ‘em there.
Bring it terrorists. No more hiding from them behind some giant government visa program that can’t protect you or your family anyway. No problemo for the bad guys to skip applying for a visa and hoof it across the New Mexico border and show up at your local mall ready to kill American’s.
Well, American’s, let’s be ready to return fire and welcome them to the land of the free and the brave and the quick and the dead. I for one am sick of being afraid of terrorists. Forget the politicians and visa programs, they can’t help you.
Will they be there with you when Bin Laden’s Bastards open fire on you and yours? No.
Build a dang wall on the border or don’t, I don’t care. Walls don’t protect you either. Not fully. (Watch any episode of the Walking Dead if you think walls will protect you) Being armed to the teeth is the only way to face our enemies. Think about that before you call for growing our government to protect us.
Forget visas. Protect yourselves. It’s the American way.
