Did You Know Your Tax Money Was Going Towards THESE Rockets?

Elon Musk may dream of being Tony Stark, but he’s not. He may enjoy the fantasy of being a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. In reality, he’s just another crony capitalist who is bilking the government and the American taxpayer for billions!

I know his toys are cool. He owns a rocket company called SpaceX. What could be cooler than that?

Read the lofty interplanetary goals from the SpaceX websiteSpaceX designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. The company was founded in 2002 to revolutionize space technology, with the ultimate goal of enabling people to live on other planets.

When you have “Space Travel” as a company goal, you’re going to get attention. Lots of attention. Turns out you can also pull in some serious cash. You’d think it would be from Mr. Musk himself, or other billionaire investors, but it isn’t. Billions of the money it takes to blow up rockets on a regular basis have come from you and me.

Elon Musk is the kind of billionaire that loves to do mind and rocket blowing things on other people’s dime. Why risk your own money when the government is so willing to give it away? It’s kind of a love-fest between them.

More politicians climb in bed with Elon than supermodels.

Politicians don’t mess around either, they pour billions of cold, hard, cash into SpaceX or Elon’s other two companies (Tesla Motors and Solar City) allowing Musk to play with great toys and make billions at virtually no risk. Who takes the risk if one of these cool companies fails? The government of course.

Solar City is a Musk company on the verge of collapse promising solar panels for all. They are following down the same path as Solyndra and nearly a dozen other solar panel companies to end in bankruptcy.

Tesla Motors has some of the coolest auto designs ever and promises a fully electric dream car with features like “Autopilot” and “Hands-free” driving. Tesla promises to actually make money…maybe next year.

Elon Musk is the text book definition of a crony capitalist. His three companies have taken more than $4.9 billion in federal and state monies to finance his dreams of being Tony Stark. Sorry to say, Tony Stark is a comic book hero. Elon Musk is what’s wrong with American business and politics.

You can’t just blame Tony…I mean Elon entirely, because the politicians are just as much to blame. The politicians love being in bed with Elon because they can give speeches about getting behind electric cars, green energy, and space travel…all three proven winners at the ballot box. Too bad they are all three proven losers at producing a great bottom line.

Solar City recently moved into one of the old Solyndra buildings…you can’t make this stuff up. Tesla might turn a profit someday. SpaceX is crashing a lot of rockets both on land and in the ocean. At the end of the day…this is a cash cow and a boon for Elon Musk, his buddies, and the politicians on both side of the aisle.

The end goal isn’t space travel at all…it’s to keep the average American dreaming of flying in the Enterprise across the galaxy, while thieves right here on earth are making out like space pirates! Time to wake up America. Don’t be dazzled by shiny rockets, flashy cars, or solar panels.

This is a giant shell game and the American taxpayer is taking it in the shorts. Elon Musk is no Tony Stark, he’s closer to a Bernie Madoff.
