Yesterday Ivanka Trump was put on the grill about her father, Donald Trump, over the issue of his treatment of women.
She was on the CBS Morning News program and was asked by Noran O’Donnel if her father was a “groper”, based on allegations that surfaced in a New York Times “investigation” of Donald Trump’s relationships with various women.
“I’m not in every interaction my father has,” Ivanka said, obviously uncomfortable with the question. “But he’s not a groper. It’s not who he is. And I’ve known my father obviously my whole life. And he has total respect for women. He was promoting women in development and construction at a time when it was unheard of. There was no trend towards equality in the real estate and construction industry back in the 1980s. And he was doing it because he believes ultimately in merit.”
Newsbusters points out today that a similar question to Chelsea Clinton would doubtless never be considered.
Yet Bill Clinton has been accused of rape by Juanita Broderick. It’s an old allegation, but was raised just last night by Donald Trump in an interview with Sean Hannity.
